Audience:              Students who have taken the BCCPA course or passed the BCCPA Exam or Waiver Exam.

 

Pre-requisites:     Students need practical experience with the Proxy SG in the field. Additionally, students

                                should have advanced knowledge of networking, security and authentication.

Duration:               1 day.

 

Audience:             Students who wish to master the fundamentals of Blue Coat Reporter

 

Pre-requisites:     Students should have taken the BCCPA course and passed the exam. Additionally, students should have an advanced knowledge of networking and

                                be familiar with Access Logging.

                               

Topics Covered:    The course will begin by introducing students to Reporter and what it can do to help their company. Students will then learn how to install and

                                configure Reporter, how reporter uses Access Logs from the ProxySG, and how and what reports are generated. The course will also cover Reporter

                                system architecture to give students a better understanding of Reporter’s components. The course will end with a discussion about deploying Reporter

                                in local and global reporting environments, giving students an idea about how Reporter can be used in a wide range of situations

 

 

Blue Coat Director Course

 

Duration:               Half day.

 

Audience:             Students who wish to master the fundamentals of Blue Coat Director

 

Pre-requisites:     Students should have taken the BCCPA course and passed the exam. 

                               

Topics Covered:    The course begins by introducing students to Director and what it can do to help their company. Students will then learn how to install and configure

                                Director, how Director works with other Blue Coat products, such as the ProxySG, and how to maintain Director. To reach this end, the Director

                                course contains information about Director’s system architecture, administering Director, managing ProxySGs through Director, and managing content

                                with Director and the Content Sync Module.

Duration:               2 days

Audience:              This course is intended for IT professionals requiring basic operational network management knowledge and skills; i.e., network/system administrators who are responsible for managing network application performance using the Blue Coat PacketShaper.

Student should have practical experience with the PacketShaper appliance in the field with a solid understanding of networking and general knowledge of application behavior on Wide Area Networks.
